landscape

Bristles scratch the canvas
Paint spreading a hint of color
The sun is setting
And I race to catch colors
Water makes the paint wash
Giving only a touch of pigment
Rapid brush strokes calm me
My own meditation
I can smell the paint
And feel it drying on my fingers
Deep in thought
I notice nothing but the shapes and colors
The light fades
And I can no longer work
